I work as a physical therapist at Maisonneuve CARE Charmilles in Geneva, where I offer specialized care in back physical therapy in the Charmilles neighborhood, spinal rehabilitation, and the treatment of running-related injuries, complemented by expertise in sports physical therapy.
Graduate of a Master’s degree in physical therapy in 2017 from the Haute École Parnasse-ISEI in Brussels, Belgium, I have developed a practice that focuses specifically on functional rehabilitation, the treatment of back pain, and helping patients return to physical activity.
My professional career has taken me to Belgium, Martinique, Corsica, Bordeaux, and Guadeloupe, where I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings. After my first job at a nursing home in Brussels, I spent three years working at a practice specializing in the care of athletes and patients with obesity-related issues.
I have taken a particular interest in back physical therapy and spinal rehabilitation, further developing my skills through the McKenzie Part A (lumbar spine) and Part B (cervical spine) training courses, which I completed in 2024. This approach enhances my care for patients with lower back pain, neck pain, and spinal pain through individualized assessment and the use of tailored therapeutic exercises.
As a passionate runner, I also completed the La Clinique du Coureur 1.0 and 1.1 training courses in 2021, which focus on the prevention and management of running-related injuries. I am particularly interested in knee, foot, and ankle pain, as well as issues related to repetitive mechanical stress and training load management.
In addition, I expanded my skills in sports physical therapy and sports injury rehabilitation through the Kinésport Expert training program, which I completed between 2019 and 2020. This training complements my approach to functional recovery, muscle strengthening, and a gradual return to physical activity.
In addition to my professional work, I have volunteered as a support staff member at several sporting events, including the Oxfam Trailwalker in Belgium, the Trail du Loup Garou in Martinique, and the Diagonale des Fous in Réunion. These experiences have allowed me to interact with athletes of various skill levels and to better understand the physical demands associated with endurance and trail running events.
