Laurène – Physical therapist specializing in prenatal care and infant care

My background and specializations

I hold a master’s degree in physical therapy from Belgium and have been working with a diverse patient population for the past three years. The variety of situations I’ve encountered has allowed me to develop a versatile practice and tailor my treatments to each patient’s needs, abilities, and goals.
Physical Therapy for Pregnant Women and Pre- and Postpartum Care
I have a particular interest in physical therapy for pregnant women and supporting women during pregnancy and after childbirth. To develop this expertise, I have trained in holistic physical therapy for the pre- and postpartum periods, as well as in pre- and postpartum lymphatic drainage.
These different approaches allow me to provide support tailored to each woman’s specific needs during pregnancy and the postpartum period, taking into account her progress, needs, and goals.
Infant Physical Therapy and Pediatric Care
I have also developed my skills in infant physical therapy through training in manual therapy specific to pediatrics. This expertise allows me to tailor my treatment to the unique needs of infants and young children.
My Approach to pediatric physical therapy is based on providing individualized care for infants and their families, taking into account their needs and developmental progress.
Geriatric Physical Therapy and Functional Rehabilitation
My career path has also allowed me to gain significant experience in geriatric physical therapy and functional rehabilitation. I help patients maintain and regain their independence, improve their mobility, and perform their daily activities. I gained this experience primarily at a geriatric and rehabilitation clinic.
I have also expanded my expertise in the rehabilitation of older adults, particularly in the management of postural and motor maladjustment syndrome.

What characterizes my care

I place great importance on active listening, compassion, and personalized care. Each treatment plan is tailored to the patient’s needs, goals, and pace.
Whether it involvescaring for a pregnant woman, providing postpartum care, infant physical therapy, or functional rehabilitation, I prioritize an individualized and active approach based on current scientific recommendations.
My goal is to help each patient better understand their treatment, take an active role in their rehabilitation, and promote a lasting recovery under the best possible conditions.
