Caroline – Physical therapist specializing in back care, neurological rehabilitation, and orthopedic rehabilitation

My background and specializations

I work at Maisonneuve CARE Belle-Terre, a physical therapy center in Thônex, where I provide physical therapy for back conditions, spinal rehabilitation, and neurological and orthopedic-traumatological rehabilitation.
I earned my degree in physical therapy in Lyon in 2011, and I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Science and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities (STAPS), with a concentration in Adapted Physical Activity and Health, which I earned at Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble in 2010. This dual background enriches my approach to rehabilitation, particularly through the use of movement and adapted physical activity.

With more than 14 years of experience, I developed my skills at the DIVIO Functional Rehabilitation Center in Dijon, and later at the Martel de Janville Community Hospital in Bonneville, where I worked with patients with neurological conditions, orthopedic disorders, and a variety of functional issues.

I have devoted myself particularly to back physical therapy and the treatment of chronic low back pain, especially through my experience at a back rehabilitation center. Today, at CARE Belle-Terre in Thônex, I use this expertise to help patients with persistent back pain and functional spinal disorders.

To further develop my skills, I completed a multidisciplinary training program focused on helping patients with low back pain resume their social and professional activities, as well as additional training on pain management through the EBP Agency.

My experience in neurological and orthopedic-traumatological rehabilitationalso enables me to support patients with mobility limitations and functional difficulties, with the goal of promoting their recovery and independence.

Finally, I rounded out my training with an in-depth course in motivational interviewing to better support patients during their rehabilitation, particularly when they experience persistent pain or have difficulty resuming their usual activities.

What characterizes my care

In my physical therapy practice in Thônex, I place particular emphasison active listening, building a relationship of trust, and providing personalized care. Each patient has their own unique situation, needs, and goals. I therefore take care to tailor treatments to their abilities, progress, and expectations.

As part of my back physical therapy practice in Thônex, I focus on an active and progressive approach aimed at improving mobility, restoring confidence in movement, and facilitating a return to daily, social, and professional activities.

Spinal rehabilitation in Thônex is a major part of my practice, particularly for patients with chronic lower back pain and persistent back pain. My approach combines therapeutic exercises, adapted physical activity, and personalized support to promote lasting improvement in functional abilities.

My training in pain management and motivational interviewing allows me to incorporate an educational component into my treatments. I strive to help patients better understand their pain, overcome their fears of movement, and take an active role in their rehabilitation.

In neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation, my approach is based on an assessment of functional abilities and the establishment of individualized goals. I focus on tailored exercises and a progression plan that takes into account each patient’s capabilities and needs.

My experience in hospitals and rehabilitation centers has also taught me the importance of multidisciplinary teamwork, adaptability, and continuity of care.
At CARE Belle-Terre, my goal is to provide physical therapy in Thônex based on the latest scientific knowledge, using an active and personalized approach aimed at achieving lasting improvements in my patients’ mobility, independence, and quality of life.
