Alexandra – Physical therapist specializing in pre- and postpartum gynecological physical therapy and respiratory physical therapy
My background and specializations
After earning a bachelor’s and master’s degree in physical therapy and rehabilitation from the University of Liège in 2024, I now practice at CARE Belle-Terre in Thônex. My career path has allowed me to develop a versatile practice across various areas of physical therapy.
I have gradually shifted my practice toward gynecological physical therapy, with a particular interest in supporting women throughout pregnancy. At CARE Belle-Terre, I offer gynecological physical therapy services in Thônex, tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.
In particular, I have received training in comprehensive pre- and postpartum care. My work as a physical therapist for pregnant women in Thônex allows me to support patients throughout their pregnancies, while my postpartum physical therapy practice in Thônex continues this support after childbirth.
I have also developed expertise insupporting women with breast cancer, particularly during the postoperative period. My specialized training in this field, along with my skills in lymphatic drainage and multilayer bandaging, complement my practice focused on women’s health.
Respiratory physical therapy is another focus of my practice. Trained in respiratory physical therapy guided by pulmonary auscultation, I also provide respiratory physical therapy services in Thônex, at CARE Belle-Terre.
Finally, I have expanded my expertise in geriatric physical therapy, particularly in assessment, clinical reasoning, and fall prevention. This approach is specifically designed to help older adults maintain their mobility, balance, and independence.

What characterizes my care
I place great importance on active listening, empathy, and building a climate of trust. I take the time to understand each patient’s needs, challenges, and goals in order to develop a personalized, step-by-step treatment plan tailored to their daily life.
Whether it involves gynecological physical therapy, care during pregnancy or the postpartum period, breast cancer physical therapy, respiratory physical therapy, or issues related to aging, I make sure to tailor my treatment plan to each situation and encourage the patient’s active participation.
My practice is also based on a scientifically grounded approach, multidisciplinary teamwork, motivational interviewing, and active listening.
